Tooth Infection/Sinusitis???

Ok. Last month on July 4th, I had a severe toothache, my face swelled up. Went to ER. Got antiobiotics. After 4 days on antiobiotics, it wasnt going away. I went to dr's office. they gave me a shot and changed by antiobiotics from amoxicillion 875 to augmentin 875. went to dentist. had a root canal. hurt bad cuz it was so infected they couldnt numb it all the way. 2 weeks later, had another root canal. much better.its been over a week now since my last root canal. the pocket around my nose never went away all the way. its a small pocket left. well this morning, my face swelled up all. on the other side of my face where i havent had any work done. none of my teeth hurt. i dont know if i have sinusitis or what? i dont know what to do. its been over a month now since my face swelled up and it hasnt been back to normal since. can anyone help ?

Tooth Infection/Sinusitis???
they should have drained the infection. changing the environment (giving air to the area) can make all the difference.

Too bad your body had to deal with the antibiotics you were exposed to.

ps. your smile is an asset, take care of it.
Reply:If I let an ear infection go to far my back teeth hurt really bad. Have you gone to your Dr. and asked for Prednisone? That always clears me up along with antibiotics.
Reply:Go to some other dentist and get yourself checked, the root canal may not have been done properly. From http://www.drcaird.com/rootcanal.html
Reply:It sounds like you still have an infection brewing. You should go to an endodontist (root canal specialist) for a second opinion if possible. Either that or your dentist should reopen the root canal and see if an infection will drain out. It is possible that they didn't get all of the canals in the root, sometimes there are accessory canals (extra canals)

Hope that helps!
