My six year old was smacked in the face with a baseball bat by her brother as he was trying to kill bugs.?

Unfortunately her teeth got in the way. There was some bruising on her gums which went away about two hours later. Her front tooth is now much more wiggly than it was and the tooth next to it is now loose. They are baby teeth. The already wiggly tooth has shifted sideways tight to her other front tooth. Is it necessary to take her to the dr or dentist? What would you do. I hate to over react. I suppose there could be damage to the permanant tooth, but would they do anything anyway? She isn't complaining about anything.

i can understand being worried..i'd definitely take her to the dentist..just to get some xrays and to make sure everything is everything..since they're baby teeth, it might not be THAT serious..but to just be sure, i'd take her to her dentist and let them check it out..good luck..
Reply:You should knock out the boy's front teeth so he knows how it is to endure that. Your daughter isn't complaining now because she's too young to understand what this means for her! Your son needs to be put in his place NOW. Report It

Reply:i say better to be safe than sorry. since they were just baby teeth it probably isn't a huge deal, but i don't think it would hurt to get everything all checked out.
Reply:Yes you should take her to the Dr. She needs to have her face xray'd for damage.
Reply:i'd take her anyway. i'm like you, i hate to overreact about anything, but teeth are teeth. that's on of the first things people notice about you for the rest of your life. better make sure.
Reply:Its always better to be safe than sorry. Take her to the dentist and make sure there isn't too much damage. It's possible they're alright but you don't want to find out too late if something is wrong with her teeth (bigger expense later - braces, surgeries, etc)
Reply:You should take her to a dentist or doctor. Either one right away. You should do it before any permanet damage is done. Ice her mouth on the way there. It should help.
Reply:Go ahead and take her to the dentist. My son damaged his front baby teeth as well. We took him to the dentist and he recommended they go ahead and pull them.
Reply:call a dentist at least in the morning if not right now. She is very young which means she needs to keep her primary (baby) teeth much longer! So contact a dentist asap and tell them what happened and that her teeth are loose and that she is only 6.
Reply:ouch! wouldve hurt. take her to the dentist just to be safe. they're baby teeth so i wouldnt worry too much. no need to over react
