Dental gums?

i went to the dentist a while back and found out i hada very large hole in one of my back teeth. i could look in a mirror and see it and the dr said i needed a root canal which was almost $1000. i didnt have the money so ive been saving. well, the last few days that tooth has been hurting, and i havent thought much of it, till just now. i went in the bathroom and looked at it and my gums around that tooth have apparently came up thru that hole and the gum part is BLACK! whats wrong with it?! ive never even heard of anything like this before.

Reply:Sometimes if you leave the hole there the gum will start to grow thru it. Maybe you just need to get it extracted its cheaper than a root canal if you low on funds. Good luck
Reply:Try to contact your city's local dental society or contact the American Dental Association. They may be able to refer you to a dentist that charges sliding scale.
