Can my dentist do this to me?

I recently lost my job and my private medical care so had to use a cheap dentist when I got tooth ache and fount one in the local paper.

I went to his surgery but it was his house and had all the equipment so seemed ok, he was a big African doctor called Dr Jumbingowali and was really friendly..

When i was getting my teeth done and had my mouth open he was eating his lunch and ate sandwiches with one hand and did my teeth with the other hand. I could feel bits of his sandwich fall in my mouth but he lent over and a bit feel out his mouth into mine and i accidentally swallowed it.. I felt sick

should I report him, I have to go back in 5 days and dont want to thou? what shall i do ??

Can my dentist do this to me?
Report him to American Dental Society, report him to OSHA, report him to local town/city codes department, health department, your doctor, lawyer . Report him, report him, report him.
Reply:I think he should be reported for not offering you anything to eat!
Reply:was the sandwhich good?
Reply:HE IS PROBABLY NOT A REAL DOCTER.

you need to have a licence to do such acts
Reply:oooh ooh was it pb%26amp;j?
Reply:eww report him now!!
Reply:Yes report him
Reply:Yeah, of course you should report him...how unhygenic...I wouldn't be going anywhere near him...YUK!!!!
Reply:omg that sounds bad, he may be praticising illegally, it may be best to report him, if it genuine he has nothing to worry about.

If you dont do something someone else may suffer.
Reply:WHAT?? Your serious?
Reply:god i doont think thats very professional report him x
Reply:give me his add, free meal an dental work all in one!
Reply:that is so gross!!

complain bitterly to him about it and only go back if you really have to
Reply:i say dont go back. and if you felt really sick then yes report him. he should be paying attention to his job on your teeeth not eating
Reply:well first more info is needed to see how to proceed first what kind of sandwich was it?
Reply:yes report him this is not hygienic and can easily spread germs/viruses etc
Reply:REPORT HIM
Reply:dont go back! report him or just tell a family member or frriend and they should be able to help!
Reply:You need to report him. In the future, you need to ask for Health and Safety certificates, and make sure he/she is qualified as well as aomeone who has references an don't trust anybody who does it in their own home, who isn't wearing gloves and eating. DO NOT GO BACK IN 5 DAYS. Find another dentist. Most dentists will offer competitive rates, and remember, haggle with your dentist.
Reply:You should report him, he is supposed to keep his dental room as clean as a surgury room. And all of his dental tools need to be sterilized each time he treats a new patient.
Reply:Are you serious..? .....because this sounds really weird...ah no you shouldnt go. to him anymore the whole thing sounds weird and kinda funny sorry but it does,,I mean.. he was eating food and doing surgery on your mouth and some food fell into yuor mouth then you felt sick..man that sounds bad..I'd stay away from him and home based dental offices like that..
Reply:Okay either this is a really sick thing to be happening or I feel really bad for you.

First of all a surgery in his house. Then eating and falling into your mouth.

You MUST report him to the NHS as it's gross misconduct. He should not be practising as he obviously has no morals.

Please please please o not go back to him. You must get advice from the CAB (Citizens advice bureau).

You might even get compensation for what this foul person has done. He could be committing fraud or even practising illegally. You are lucky he didn't sedate you or even worse do something beyond imagination.

Go and get it done on the NHS.
Reply:i wouldn't go at all if he did that to me i would def. tell him my feelings and tell him when i was there not to eat!!
Reply:sue that idiot!
Reply:Can my dentist do this to me: yes he can and he did!

Make it your last appointment and don't schedule it during the lunch hour.

- Is it unusual to practice out of your home; yes, but some areas have zoning laws that allow it.

- Is it unsafe for him to be eating lunch while working on you; well it ISN'T safe, but unless the food was bad you should be fine. His salvia would be of more danger to you.

- Would I go back to him again; you do what you got to do and what you can afford.

- Should you report him; do you really think it will do any good? Were you harmed, can you prove it? Most likely not.

The moral of the story is you pay for what you get. You went to a cheap dentist so you got cheap treatment. It was a risk, but you didn't have the money to afford a better dentist. Next time you have a dental problem you know who NOT to contact.
Reply:Why isn't this in jokes?

If it really ISN'T a joke - then you must be incredibly stupid to think you have to endure this kind of mis-treatment!

No offence meant - but get yourself a proper dentist as soon as you have finished prosecuting this CHARLATAN!
Reply:THIS WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THIS DENTIST HAS NO KNOWLEDGE OF OR PRACTICE FOR ANTISEPTIC OR INFECTION CONTROL STANDARDS.

DID HE DISPLAY AN ACTUAL DENTAL LICENSE ON THE WALL FOR ALL TO SEE?

REPORT HIM TO THE BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATIONS OF YOUR STATE.

NEXT TIME GET A REAL DENTIST AS A REAL ONE WOULD NEVER, EVER DO WHAT THIS ONE DID.
Reply:Thats a funny story. I can't believe that actually happened!!
