Actually we went to the E.R. because he also split his lip, but the Dr didn't even notice the tooth, nor did I..... until later. Tomorrow I'll be taking him to his Dr but I just can't sleep with this on my mind? Anyone........... ?
My 1yr.old son fell today and now has a loose tooth... has anyone had this experience? What should I expect?
. I had this happen to my daughter when she was under a year old. She fell into a coffee table. It was bleeding, and was real loose. I took her to the doctor and he said that she may lose it and she may not. the tooth turned a light yellow, and finally tightened back up. It was all ways a little off center, but she had it until she lost her "baby" teeth". When her other tooth came in, it was straight , but still had a very light discoloration. If you did not know it, you would never notice it.
My daughter's mouth was a little bit sore and it was hard for her to take her bottle, but within a few days it was better.
I hope your son is all right.
Reply:My daughter fell when she was two and knocked her two front teeth in.........They straightened them out at the ER and told me to let her drink from a straw for a couple of days until the teeth regrew the roots........If he is sleeping okay and not complaining about pain, just let him be.........take care..........
Reply:Take him to the Dentist. My brother had that happen to an adult tooth, and the DDS put it back in and kept an eye on it and it is still in his mouth, over 10 years later.
Reply:I have had this happen before in the past with my son. For the most part if that tooth is left alone, there is a very good chance that it will tighten back up on it's own. That is what the dentist told me when it happen to my boy. And it did do just that, it tighten back up on it's own but the dentist did want to keep an eye on it to make sure that it didn't end up dying on us. It turned out fine.
