10 month old still sick?

Ok my 10 month old is still sick...

He went to the Dr. on the 18th only had a runny nose (no fever) Dr. said that he had an ear infection, he gave him ammoxicillian and he took it for 7 days and then he got a fever.

I took him back to the Dr. the 26th and the Dr. gave him Omnicef. He was on Motrin and Tylenol altranated all day yesterday his last dose was at 11:30pm. His temp has been normal all day until now 12:55pm, now he is at 100.0, I dont understand what could be causing this. I have taken him to the Dr. twice and called them once yesterday, the nurse said that her kids have had fever for 5 days, but I just am very anxious as you all can tell. Please some advise....

He doesn't want to eat, only very little formula and he has a runny nose, and does have some teeth coming in but they have already broken through...he has a total of 10 teeth.

10 month old still sick?
Having a sick little one is no fun at all. My daughter just started getting sick the day before yesterday and I'm taking her to the doctor right now.

If you're uncomfortable with your childs' fever, I know I would be, I would definately take him back to the doctor ... ignore the secertary, she's not the doctor.

In the meantime you can try baths to ease any discomfort. 100F is considered a low grade fever ... so continue to administer the tylenol %26amp; motrin.

What I can tell you is that the fact he does have a fever is good, because its' his body fighting the infection ... when the body temperature increases it helps the white blood cells multiply. So, don't go running to the emergancy room just yet. If it spikes up to 104-105, than its' time for a trip to ER.

Good luck and I hope he feels better soon.
Reply:Could be cutting some molars, keep alternating the motrin %26amp; tylenol. Try giving him popcicles, jello, bananas, stuff like that.
Reply:You should try giving your baby some pedilyte popcicles!! I could most definately be his teeth that are giving him the fever so continue to give him the medicine!! Try spatted his body(Head, arms) with a cool towel for the temperature. If you already give him juices give him a nice cold glass!! I was told when my son had fevers to give him lots of cold things!! It helps trust me!!!
Reply:Your little guy sounds very similar to mine always sick either the medicine didn't work or he would get an allergic reaction to it. He will be fine just give him some time to get over it good luck and sounds like your doing a good job.
