Hey guys, My son is 7 and lost his front right tooth today, Immediately following he was experiencing blurred vision, Can these two be connected, He is fine now, I'm just concerned and cant get the Dr on the phone. Can anyone tell me if this can happen? Thanks so much!
WE take care of his teeth all the time, very religious with it, hes got great teeth..He is not t allowed much sugar, never drinks soda, HELP-I just need to know if this was normal?
Blurred vision with a lost tooth in kid is this normal?
May be a shock reflex.., turn on cartoons and leave him alone for a little bit.., let him have some cookies and stay up late tonight. His little body is probably just reacting to his parents' excitedness. Let him kick back on the couch with some SpongeBob and diet soda tonight.
Blurred vision can be an early warning sign of a more serious problem, but the key word is "early". He is more than likely just over-excited, and his little nervous system is responding accordingly. Let him relax however he needs to, whether or not it coincides with normal routines.
Reply:If the tooth came out incorrectly, there could be a connection but if not, the 2 are not connected.
I would still try to reach a Dr. to confirm it.
Reply:something doesnt sound right... seems he may have been in a fight.
Reply:Maybe he was dehydrated or something. As long as he's okay. If he experiences the vision when nothing is happening with the teeth I would call the doctor to see whats wrong. I hope he is feeling better. Good Luck. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! =)
Reply:Probably not related in any way. But around this age year children may find they need glasses, wich may be what he needs.
Reply:if you mean his tooth just fell out, no. If you mean 'after running into a door', yes. in either case check the doctor. unexpected blurred vision is never a good thing.
Reply:uhmmm... maybe it is because of the anesthesia...
but still consult a doctor about this in case...**
take care hope it goes well...♥
Reply:No, losing his front teeth, is not connected with blurred vision. His permanent teeth will come along. You should be able to see the bulges above where the baby teeth were. Again, some boys are slow, even though they shed teeth, the permanent ones may not come immediately, until they are ready, the outside limit for boys can be even 10 yrs.
Perhaps you should take him to the eye doctor first.
All the best. !
