When is the earliest a Dr. would induce?

I need oral surgery, I have my wisdom teeth coming in and pushing all my other teeth forward and not only is it killing my mouth it%26#039;s also causing muscle contractions in my neck and up throughout my head. They can%26#039;t do the surgery while I%26#039;m pregnant. I%26#039;m 24 weeks and I know that 36 weeks is about the safest. Has anyone else had to go through this? I can%26#039;t deal with it anymore!=(

When is the earliest a Dr. would induce?
The earliest my Ob would induce was 37 weeks.

Can the dentist remove the wisdom teeth--one or two at a time--safely using just Novocaine? I had 2 of my wisdom teeth done that way--and they were both impacted and abcessed--and I was fine after the procedure. I also had a root canal done when I was 16 weeks pregnant last year. They used just Novocaine--without epinephrine--because that%26#039;s all they could use. I was fine after that, too.

Get a second opinion from another dentist if you can. If your wisdom teeth are causing gum infections or abcesses, they might have to come out immediately for the safety of the baby you%26#039;re carrying. Dental hygeine is very important while pregnant because mouth infections can actually threaten your pregnancy.

If the wisdom teeth extractions don%26#039;t have to be done right away, ask your dentist for some painkillers that are safe to use while pregnant. Nobody should have to live with that kind of pain for 13 weeks.
Reply:Every doctor is different. This is really a conversation you should have w/your doctor. I don%26#039;t think they%26#039;d induce before 36 weeks unless the baby was in danger.
Reply:the earilest a doctor will induce is 36 weeks anything before that you are at risk to have problems with the baby and they are more likely to be in a nicu.. I suggest you talk to your doctor or take tylenol to ease the pain and muscle spasms
Reply:Mine, not before a week of due date and actually induced me 3 days before just to be safe, but would never before a week unless a serious condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Reply:well iam going to put you on top friend becaues we need to talk girl ! lol
Reply:I had dental work done when I was pregnant. I had to get a root canal done. It was killing me and it was infected.

37 weeks is considered full term - anything before that is a preemie.

I would talk to your doctor and your dentist - have them talk together and see if you can%26#039;t work out a temporary fix until you deliver. It sucks being in pain and you can%26#039;t do anything about it! Trust me, I know.
Reply:Why cant you have surgery while pregnant? if your willing to have your baby so early why not the other evil your baby has a better chance of survival going full term
Reply:I would say about 35-39 weeks is the soonest they would do that. And since your at 24 weeks you need to talk to your doctor about what you can do for the pain.Cause that may throw into early labor.
Reply:Talk to your OB and see if they will approve the dental procedure. My OB okayed some dental work while I was pregnant. They insisted that any x-rays be done with a lead vest over my belly and that all anesthetic be local only. Getting your wisdom teeth removed without general anesthetic can be a pain, but it is done all the time. Ask your OB about it. Plus, cutting wisdom teeth can lead to gum infections that aren%26#039;t good while you%26#039;re pregnant. Most dentists will not do any dental work while you%26#039;re pregnant without the consent of your OB.
Reply:I feel for you, I had to have a wisdom tooth cut out the week before my son was born for the same reasons as you with just the ordinary Novocaine injection.

The Obs that I am acquainted with would not induce before 38 weeks without it was a dire emergency .Best to check with your OB and get their opinion. Everyday that baby is in its momma gives it another day to gain strength and be a healthier baby. Good Luck
Reply:i would say 38 weeks. my doc even did an amnio to make sure his lungs were developed at 38 weeks, and i had to ask 4 different docs in the practice before i found one who would! they dont like to induce more than 1 week early, unless baby or mom is in eminent danger. good luck hon!!
