My son is 18 months old and still doesn't have all of his teeth. Is this normal?

He has his molars and his top and bottom 2 teeth. He talks up a storm and it%26#039;s not bothering him eating wise. I%26#039;m going to ask the Dr. about it in a couple of weeks I just wanted to know if any other mothers had late teethers.

yes, some kids take longer to get all of them. As long as he is eating well and in good health, you should have no worries. But do make sure to check in with the doc on the next visit.
Reply:my son is 19 months old and has the same teeth! He actually eats better then my son who is nearly 3 and has all his teeth!

he didn%26#039;t get his first tooth until 10 months,i never worried though because they are only teeth it doesn%26#039;t have anything to do with his development milestones.
Reply:Yes, my daughter didn%26#039;t get any of their teeth until after she was 14 months old. I talked to my pediatrician and he said it was fine, some kids just develop differently. Her gums were so hard that she could still eat normally. I think it is just fine... and the dr. confirmed. I wouldn%26#039;t worry.
Reply:My neice didn%26#039;t even get her first tooth until she was over a year old. Don%26#039;t worry. They%26#039;ll come in.
Reply:yes, it is normal, every baby is different. i wouldn%26#039;t worry about it.
Reply:Typically they will have 20 teeth by the time they are 2. The later they get their baby teeth the later they will get their adult teeth. My oldest did not get any teeth until he was 14 months old. I would not be worried.
Reply:My son is 22 months %26amp; he still doesn%26#039;t have all his teeth. My mom told me that I was almost 4 years old before I had all my teeth, then I started losing them right away. So its normal don%26#039;t worry.
Reply:My son didn%26#039;t get his first tooth until 13 months old. He just got his last one (1st tooth over from front left) almost a week ago (and it%26#039;s still not all the way in)...he%26#039;s 2.5 years old (30 months)!!!

His pediatrician said that he will likely hit pueberty late too! (oh joy!)
Reply:My son was still gummy at 13 months old. He didnt get his first tooth until he was 13 1/2 months. They say that the later babies get teeth the better and stronger the teeth will be. He is two now and had got one after the other. Poor little man hasnt stopped in the last year.
