Is it teething or should i contact a dr??
Teething can cause diarreha as well as extra pee in the diapers(because of extra saliva that is swallowed). He doesn%26#039;t have a fever so that is a good sign. As long as he is still eating and drinking lot%26#039;s of fluids, and he is still filling his usual amount of diapers with pee, than he is probably fine. If he still has Diarreha by this Saturday, I would make an appointment, but that would just to be for reassurance.

PLEASE MAKE SURE NEVER TO USE PRODUCTS LIKE PEDIALITE.. They contain electrolytes and should never be given to a child unless recommended by your family Doctor. (elecrolytes should be tested before administering this type of product.)

The best pain reliever for teething is %26quot;Dye free, Childrens motrin%26quot; What I also found helpful was %26quot;Real Fruit %26quot;brand popsicles. They releive pain, taste good and get some fluids into the body.

u never kno wat could happen
Reply:take him and be sure
Reply:Better safe then sorry. I%26#039;d talk to a doctor. It doesn%26#039;t sound like anything too serious though.
Reply:It could be either but you should call the DR anytime you get concerned. I haven%26#039;t heard of any children with an allergy to soy milk so I%26#039;m sure that%26#039;s probably not what it is. But just be on the safe side.
Reply:Its good that u care, finally a reasonable question to answer...

You should call doctor in my opinion just to see if the soy milk could be causing it. The teething might not be casing it, but what could is what hes putting in his mouth/eating while teething.
Reply:Check the gums...are they red and swallon? Is he drooling alot? It sounds like it%26#039;s the teeth, but watch him closely tho..children can dehydrate quickly.
Reply:yes, it certainly sounds like the way my children were when they teethed. it is a miserable time for parents and children ; but it passes.
Reply:You need to be extremely careful not to let him get dehydrated..with diarreah since Saturday. Give him Pedialite and take him to the doctor as soon as possible. Please see this website.. http://www.babycenter.com/0_dehydration_...
Reply:I would take him to the doctor to get checked out, with diarrhea it is easy to get dehydrated so if he has had it since Saturday I would defiantly get him check to make sure that he is not getting dehydrated.
Reply:poor thing. I know it%26#039;s hard when you can%26#039;t do anything to make them feel better. Since the main change is the milk, I would consider backing off it a bit. It could be both things and the milk could be hard to digest and irritating his bowels more than usual. I don%26#039;t think it would hurt to supplement with more calcium from another source till the diareaha backs off. Try pedialite or extra water (no juice) to keep the fluids up. Saturday till now is almost 4 days, and that%26#039;s a while to have bad diarreaha constantly. I would consider calling the doc tomorrow and seeing what they have to say. Also, stop the soy milk in the meanwhile. Maybe he develeped an allergy to it. I mean, they say sometimes it takes a few days to develop a reaction and you said that this started Saturday (4 days ago), and Soy is a major allergen (so is milk) so . . .maybe. It could also be a virus or bacterial infection- you never know. Try some tylenol for the tooth (ask the doc. how much for his weight probably like one %26quot;vial%26quot; full of the infant tylenol if he/she is 20 lbs like my baby (15 mo)
Reply:Give the doctor a call to be sure. It%26#039;s probably the teething, but you need to be sure.
Reply:Call the doctor, but it could be a little of both. The tooth that is coming in...go ahead and give him baby orejel. The new formula could be causing the diarreha.
