What is root canal in tootheque problem? Can the cavity in tooth filed up ?
dentists like to make money. i would get another dentist to look at your tooth to make sure it needs a root canal. Root canals are very expensive , and it is a three step procedure. It is also painful. sometimes the tooth can be filled or pulled for a lot less money.
Reply:Call the doctor and ask him. The procedure may be different where you live.
Reply:if the cavity in your tooth has gone into the nerver or pulp of the tooth it definetly needs a root canal. that means that the deacy or cavity has gone too far and you cant put a filling in a tooth after the cavity has gone into the nerve. you can extract or pull the tooth, or do a root canal to save the tooth. keep in mind that root canals are expensive and after it completed there is a couple more steps , like a crown or cap that is usually another 1,000 on top of the root canal.!!!! it wont hurt to get another opinion, take the xray with you to another dentist and see what they say, is the tooth hurting? thats an indicztion that the nerve is infected also. good luck!!
Reply:yes you can have a cavitive filled

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.

The pulp or pulp chamber is the soft area within the center of the tooth. The tooth's nerve lies within root canals, which lie within the roots or "legs" of the tooth. The root canals travel from the tip of the tooth's root into the pulp chamber, which also contains blood vessels and connective tissue that nourish the tooth.

A tooth's nerve is not vitally important
Reply:If the dentist said you need a root canal treatment and you decide to just have the cavity filled without the root canal treatment, you will feel like your head is going to explode. This is a very bad idea. I am sure that the dentist would not even consider just filling a tooth that needs a root canal treatment.
Reply:If your Dr wants you to have a Root canal done it's in your best interest. If you have a filling done the odds are it's a very deep cavity and will end up being close to your nerve. Thus feeling pain every day for as long as you wait to have a Root Canal. I work for an Endodontist and there is nothing to work about as far as pain. After your numb, you wont feel a thing. I have had a bunch of patients fall asleep because they're so comfortable. A root canal is expensive but you get to keep your natural tooth and wont have anymore cold sensitivity. The procedure is pretty straight forward. Lots of Dr's do it differently so I wont get into detail. But they go in and sterilize the nerve and area and put in a permanent root canal filling that fills your tooth from end to end. Good luck.
Reply:Root canal is taking the nerve out if root.Your teeth have one,two or three roots.Inside the roots are nerves. The nerves keep your teeth alive and give the tooth a feeling. When the cavity is small,it can be filled with a filling. When it gets too big and deep inside the tooth,it reaches to the nerve.Whenever the nerve gets involved, the only way to stop the pains is doing a root canal.
