Is there any Dentist in the house,plzzz. I am using this whitnin thingy my dr gave me,?

%26amp; todays the 1st night I am applying it, and some came on my gums, and it really hurts, the whitning thingy is applied on a plastic transparensy that has taken the shape of my teeth, wut to do, it hurts, and my gum has turn white @ the painful site, %26amp; I have to wear it for 8 hrs over night, I keep salaviring %26amp; cant sleep, to sensitive to new things, wut to do and only have had it on for 1%26amp; half of an hr. HelP!

well first you are applying to much. use a spareing amount of gel on the front of the teeth. the tingly is caused by the hydrogen that is in the gel that is breaking away the stain and making your teeth whiter. there is not need to worry about harm, it is very very uncomfortable and not fun but for the next few weeks while you have to use the product it will be bareable. rise with warm water and remember to brush your gums very lightly with a soft brush, brushing your gums will help make them less sensitve and more healthy. good luck
Reply:Go back to the Dentist and talk to him about if. You may be using too much, it may be too strong or having a reaction to the peroxide. Don't use it till you talk to him, you could do harm.
Reply:Be sure to use only a tiny drop on each 'tooth' in the tray so the gel does not get on your gums. Also, ask your dentist for a 20 or 30% bleaching gel. They are NOT to be worn overnight - you only wear it 30-60 minutes per day.
Reply:My fathers a dentist so listen to me. Most people are very sensitive to the whitening system received from the dental office because it is very strong. Once the tray is removed from your mouth you will still have some pain. It will take a while to calm down. Unfortunately this will continue to happen each time you use it. Your Dr. can give you a weaker formula if it bothers you that much. I suggest using it when you go to sleep so you wont be awake to feel the pain. When you wake up, the throbbing will be gone. You probably put to much in the tray(aka.plastic transparensy that has taken the shape of my teeth).
